ملخص الخبرة العملية :
• حاصل على الدكتوراه في الفيزياء من الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية
• منحة الفولبرايت الأمريكية عام 1995-1997
• عمل أربع وعشرون عاماً كعضو هيئة تدريسية في قسم الفيزياء والمعهد العالي لبحوث الليزر في جامعة دمشق
• إضافة إلى العمل الأكاديمي في جامعة دمشق يشغل حالياً عضوية مجلس إدارة هيئة الطاقة الذرية السورية ولسنوات في اللجنة الإستشارية العلمية فيها
• عضو في لجنة الفيزياء في مجمع اللغة العربية
• شغل عدد من المواقع الإدارية لمدة 12 سنة في جامعة دمشق ، كرئيس قسم الفيزياء لسنتين وعميد المعهد العالي لبحوث الليزر لعشر سنوات
• عمل ضمن عدد من اللجان العلمية الوطنية المتعلقة بالعلوم والتكنولوجيا والتأهيل و التعادل والمعايير الوطنية الأكاديمية في وزارة التعليم العالي
• عمل كمنسق لبرنامج الإجازة في تقانة الليزر الخاص بخريجي المركز الوطني للمتميزين
• أشرف بنجاح على 26 رسالة ماجستير و11 رسالة دكتوراه
• نتج عن هذا العمل العلمي أكثر من 85 مقال علمي محكم في مجلات علمية أغلبها في مجلات دولية
• كما قام بتأليف عدد من الكتب الجامعية
